ABOUT
Working bay with crabbing piers, charter docks, and a row of seafood shacks. Crab in summer, fish year-round.
Salmon Harbor, in the heart of Winchester Bay, is Oregon's largest coastal marina and the base for the area's sport and charter fishing fleet — where the Umpqua River meets the Pacific. From here you can run to the ocean for Chinook and coho salmon (best August–October), albacore tuna (July–September, when they move within range), and halibut, lingcod, and rockfish (spring through fall), or stay in the bay for Dungeness crab (best fall into winter). The harbor has launch ramps, moorage, charter docks, and a row of seafood shacks and markets.
