Easy 1-mile forested loop around a swimmable freshwater lake inside Umpqua Lighthouse State Park.
Located at Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, this trail circles picturesque Lake Marie. It begins from a sandy swimming beach and offers several swimming and fishing points around the lake, and a short spur on the western side leads to open sand dunes. Located 5 miles south of Reedsport; at Winchester Bay turn west onto Salmon Harbor Drive, then east onto Lighthouse Road, and drive 1 mile to the park just past the Umpqua River Lighthouse. Distance: 1-mile loop. Difficulty: Easy. Facilities at the park's free day-use area.
